The newly found tapes recorded them performing more than 200 cover versions of work by the artists who had influenced them: Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly.
Apparently this is audio and video of the Beatles last recording session together. This is the one where they did their famous rooftop performance. The Let It Be Wikipedia article tells a bit more about that session. I’m sure this means a splurge of new Beatles tunes a few months from now.

Why didn’t anyone teach me this one earlier!?! A great lesson to learn for how the notes relate to each other on the fretboard and fun to play as well. I dug this up at cyberfret.

Rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley ceded his crown to Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain on Forbes.com’s list as the top-earning dead celebrity.
I just had to toss in a blurb about this because I’ve heard it repeated a few times. Apparently Elvis fans are dying off and Nirvana fans are getting to that nice middle age spending period. I was trying my hardest to think of who could be next in a few years, but couldn’t come up with anyone who was dead and would continue to earn money. Also I’m trying out digg.com’s blog this button. (which apparently works fine :)
